Bob and I went out to breakfast this morning and on the

way up our drive when we got home he said look at all the turkeys.

I got out my Kodak and took two pics and said that I couldn't
zoom in very well with it.

He said, well when we get in you can grab your Canon.
I said, hopefully they will still be there.
I grabbed it and tiptoed through the fallen leaves
and headed between the two back barns.
I was gleefully taking photos when in my
viewfinder was a young doe.
Then she walked into the higher weeds and
out steps a big buck from the other direction.
Apparently he was keeping his eye on it for awhile.
He followed into where she went.
Then out runs two young does with the
buck in close pursuit.

They run around quickly then disappeared
into the high weeds,and the turkeys slowly
leave the field,also.

I came in and told Bob that was the most fun I've had taking photos.....

The trees are changing fast.
We may even have snow flurries today....
Oh ,how I dread winter....
But, I would never want to be one of those old fogys that

My weeping cherry trees used to be a spectacle in the fall.

Went on a web-hunting expedition this morn.
I was fixing breakfast and all of a sudden there
was a whole bunch of these birds outside the
kitchen window.
My camera was nearby so I took some pics.
I knew the quality would be lousy because
of the screen in the window
(and a dirty window).
I went to lots of sites to identify them.
Then hubby said they look like woodpeckers.
Sure enough, they are Northern Flicker Woodpeckers

Coming back from taking one Grandson to school..the other Grandson and I got to see this in our front field ((yard))) so I quickly went to get my camera..I went down the drive without putting my seatbelt back on,so as soon as it started that dang ding..ding..ding... they flew away ..I didn't get a shot of them flying because it happened so quick and I had it zoomed and by the time I un-zoomed they were in the neighbors yard.So,I drove over there and got a pic,LOL

We already trimmed the tar out of them...
but I deceided to do a bit more

Transferring shrubs etc to new beds going to eliminate the

Miss Sissy wanted out the side door in the worst way yesterday..when I opened the door there was a deer standing right next to the house.Sissy saw it from the front door -so she wanted out the side door..I ran downstairs and grabbed my camera and I took out to take a pic..by the time I found it..it was way at the back of our property --so it's blurry then there was a turkey trotting by....so I got it...

We went hunting for a new mower today..it's coming home tomorrow..
I kept breaking our cub cadet...
never thought I'd like one of those zero turn ones but I love it.
This time we got a commercial Toro..with our land we needed a more
heavy duty one.Just wish it was the floating deck though.
We went everywhere -well practically.
The Kubota was too HUGE the Simplicity was -SIMPLE,the Bad Dog was
not built solid enough..the Cub was built one better than the one
we have but still not heavy duty enough.

This one has a roll bar-makes ya feel like there is more of a
possibility you're gonna roll it...
I have come up with the idea to remove all the rocks from around
our flower beds((My idea to put them there in the first place,also)).
Anyway..I'm removing most of the un-nessesary stuff from my flower beds.
Gonna mow up to the tulip tree-there is a huge overgrown mostly weeds
bed there now.Take out the trumpet vine-leave the wisteria...move
the almond bush...oh this is all going to take all summer long...
anyway it will all be put in a NEW bed in the middle of the yard...
Which I'm sure someday I will hate mowing around and want it all moved..

Hubby mowed off the front acreage-now I gotta make new paths
for my 4 wheelin-it was more fun to ride in the weeds and mud--
but it looks better.it will look even better when he puts on the
finish mower and mows it........

We trimmed the heck out of alot of the trees--still have a lot to do..but
it makes it nice to mow.My mower broke down again --broke a shear pin.
I swear that mower doesn't like me.
I need a commercial grade one for this place.....

I have been trying everyday to get a non-blurred photo
of these buttercups-it is very difficult for some
strange reason.
So far these two are the less blurred.....
SOMETIMES-NOT ALWAYS(????)- IF YOU DOUBLE-CLICK
REAL FAST ON THE PHOTO YOU CAN VIEW IT FULL SIZED-
